The life as a slave was very harsh because they had to wear shackles and they lived in a tiny shack.And there owners would whip them if they tried to run away. There were house slaves too and and they were luckier then the other slaves because they got to stay the owners house. The house slave had to take care of there kids because they were to lazy to watch there own kids. They got called on 24/7 when they told them to do something they had to do it they couldn't finish what they were doin they had to do it right then and there. They had to live behind the owners house the owner could here what the slaves did and what they say and what they do. The slaves did not have no time to there selfs.
